Gaylord: I just read Search and Destroy by Dean Hughes. It is a war novel set in Vietnam and I would say that one of the themes is that war clearly presents unexpected and terrifying circumstances. One can theorize about how one will react in a particulary situation, but when reality becomes evident, quite the opposite could occur.
